Target has seriously upped its beauty game lately. Nowadays, it’s truly the one-stop store for everything you need at any given moment. Even if that day you need new jeans, a pack of seltzer, and a makeup bag refresh. That’s why we (and TikTok) simply can’t get enough.
But because Target is so good and there are sooo many options, shopping in the beauty section can easily get overwhelming. That’s why we tapped Brittany Lo, professional makeup artist and founder of Beia and Beautini, to give the rundown on what makeup products she picks up for her clients at Target. Here’s everything the makeup artist picked and why she loves it.
CeraVe Face Wash, Hydrating Facial Cleanser

First, let’s start off with creating the perfect blank canvas. “Every makeup look has to start with a clean face, and for years my favorite cleanser has always been Cerave. I use the Hydrating Facial Cleanser and I actually use it for my face and body because it is so gentle and works for my very sensitive skin.
This will get off any lingering dirt, grime, and makeup that’s lingering from the previous night so you can start with a fresh, blank slate with clear, clean, and hydrated skin.
IT Cosmetics CC + Cream SPF50

It makes sense that a MUA chose this CC cream because if you’ve ever tried it, you know how incredible the coverage is and how smoothly it goes on. If you haven’t tried it? What are you waiting for?
This “is the perfect base to give enough coverage to hide any redness or blemishes, but doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, and I love knowing that it has skin care benefits as well,” says Lo. Plus with SPF 50 you can feel protected and responsible as you wear this. IMO, nothing feels as beautiful as protecting against sun damage.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

If you haven’t heard, Anastasia Beverly Hills literally invented eyebrows, and Lo says this pencil “is a staple for creating a full, yet natural looking brow for an everyday look – plus, I love how quick and easy it is to apply.”
This pencil is definitely for beginners. Try out the product in different directions and different sweeping motions to get your desired celeb-grade look.
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer

Don’t be afraid of bronzer! Lo says this one is “the perfect all-over bronzer for a natural, subtle glow. A little bit goes a long way and I love the way it smells – it’s such a treat to use.”
If you’re new to using bronzer, you can use it like contour, depending on your skin tone. If you have lighter skin, dust it into the hollows of your cheek bones going upwards towards your hair line, and add it to the hair line on the forehead. If you’re a seasoned pro using bronzer, you can use it all over the face for a subtle, sun-kissed glow. If you have darker skin, avoid bronzers with warm undertones and choose something a few shades darker than your natural skin tone. Pick up something with a golden or yellow undertone.
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner

Literally, if you’re not using a WATERPROOF liquid eyeliner, you might as well not be using a liquid eyeliner at all, and Lo agrees. This one by Stila is Lo’s favorite for creating a dramatic look on her clients (or you know, an everyday look if you’re me).
“When going for a full-glam look, the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner gives a perfect line with a clean finish,” says Lo. “It has amazing staying power, so I can trust it will last all night.”
Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump

This TikTok viral product went viral for a reason, my friends. “It is high-shine, long lasting, and so easy to apply,” explains Lo. “The formula is so creamy and gives my lips a ton of volume.”
If you want to skip the injections, pick this up for an extra pouty look on a budget.
Neutrogena Fragrance-Free Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes

You may have heard a lot of different things about using makeup wipes over the years, but these fragrance-free wipes are Lo’s favorite. MUA hack: If you wear waterproof mascara, Lo says these are the wipes you need to reach for.
“Neutrogena’s Fragrance-Free Makeup Wipes have always been my go-to when it comes to taking off a makeup look,” she says. “They are in everyone’s kits for a reason, nothing gets waterproof mascara off quite like they can.”
They’re also perfect for cleaning up lines and mistakes as you apply your makeup during the day.
