Jason Kelce’s shirtless reaction to Travis’ touchdown is going down in internet history, and it’s never going to leave.
We’ve all seen it. Jason Kelce screaming to the heavens, happy, proud and excited, shirtless, while holding a can of Bud Light after seeing his younger brother score a touchdown. The celebration, and endless photos, went viral on all social media platforms, and Twitter wasn’t the same after that. People loved seeing a real and fun reaction to Travis Kelce‘s impressive performance during the game between Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills.
He finally ‘gets on Papa Kelce’s Instagram’
The 36-year-old didn’t hesitate to rip off his shirt and scream when his 34-year-old sibling scored. He even climbed into the stands, in clips seen on Instagram and TikTok. The NFL got involved and shared some of the hilarious videos and posted: “We have reached peak Jason Kelce”.
They later called him a “man of the people”, after he was seen hanging out with the crowd and high-fiving fans.
Jason speaks about he has “been playing the league for 13 years” but his dad, Ed Kelce, didn’t ever post him on his own Instagram account, until he was shirtless. But he did this time, because he loved the memes that came from the celebration.
“Never once been on his Instagram?” Travis teased his brother in the latest episode of their joint podcast.
“Listen kids, if you want to make your dad proud, take your shirt off, drink your beer and scream on the top of your lungs and apparently that’s what does it,” the celebrity says.
Travis then does an impression: “‘That’s my boy'”
The brothers then share some of the memes Papa Kelce has shared. One included on what would happen if extraterrestrials came down to Earth.
“‘If aliens came down from outer space and said take us to your leader… this is the guy’, no better picture proves that is the guy,” the tight end reads out.
But “Unfortunately this is properly a good representation of the human race, I don’t know if it’s the one we want to represent us, but for an accurate one it’s probably good.”
Travis then cackles over the thought of aliens looking down at the human race and see Jason.
They then joke about adding Papa Kelce to the social media team for their New Heights podcast. But they warned he’ll have a lot of “bad ideas” and how they’ll have to “weather the storm”.
Jason Kelce’s shirtless screaming inspires Funk pop
The ‘electric atmosphere’ was so incredible, Funko Pop teased to fans about making it into a figurine in their collection.
Travis was liking the idea, saying he appreciated the logo Funko being shaved into the action figure’s chest hair, and commenting on how they got Jason’s sweatpants and Timberlands down. He even liked the beer can in his hand.
This is where Jason comes in about the viral image.
“I spoke to Funko Pop,” he begins, “and they agreed to do a charitable collab. It feels weird having this whole situation. It was just something that happened, and it feels weird to have shirts and everything made.
He made it clear he wouldn’t want to try to profit over it.
“But I feel like [this] way it makes sense,” he continued. “We agreed to Funko Pop or if we release a shirt, where portions of the proceeds will go to Patricia Allen Fund O’Shea Children’s Hospital out of Buffalo. I think we need to pay the people that put me in this place.”
The star, who recently warned his wife Kylie Kelce is looking to get a cat which he is not excited about, spoke about why he did it. “It was a little bit outlandish I don’t know why it happened, it just felt right,” he smiles. “That’s all I can say. It felt like the right thing to do.”
But then Travis joked: “Something is in the water up there,” talking about the private booth.
